England Futsal Announces Four-Part Pre-Season Pride DNA Webinar Series for Club Coaches

Coaches will access the expertise of Elite Performance Coach & Author, Luke Webb, Strength & Conditioning Lead, Isaac Thurston, England Men’s Head Coach, John Tapia-Owens & Performance Analysis Platform Indoor Data across four 90 minute sessions.

The England Futsal Pride DNA Pre-Season Club Coach Workshops are designed to support club coaches working competitively across youth and senior levels who aspire to create high-quality learning environments aligned to long-term player development prepare for the new season.

The series aims to provide greater insight into the England Futsal Pride DNA and how it underpins the development of players within our Performance Pathway.

Moreover, the series will support club coaches to gain a deeper understanding around the key aspects of international futsal and how to support players capable of progressing through the pathway and ultimately onto representing our national teams.

Delivered through an engaging 4-part webinar series, these workshops will help strengthen the connection between domestic clubs and the England Futsal Pride DNA player development philosophy.

The workshops are not intended to replace individual club philosophy or methodology, but instead enhance coaches' understanding of the areas that matter most in developing high performing individuals and consider how their environments can best facilitate this to emerge.

The workshops will be hosted by England Futsal Head of Development & Technical, Sion Kitson, with expert guest delivery from England Futsal & Headline Conditioning's Isaac Thurston, Repton School's Technical Director of Football & Author, Luke Webb and Men’s National Team Heam Head Coach, John Tapia-Owens.

Workshop 1 - Developing the Performer with Luke Webb

Monday 29th June | 7:00pm – 8:30pm | Luke Webb & Sion Kitson

£5 per person

This session will explore how coaches can develop individuals with the mindset, habits, behaviours, and standards required to perform at the highest levels of the game. The workshop will focus on creating competitive, challenging, and purposeful environments that help players thrive under pressure and pursue leadership standards.

About Luke Webb: Currently the Technical Director of Football and Head Coach at Repton School in Derby, Luke is also the author of the highly popular Courageous Coaching Series, which includes the titles Exploring Football, Exploring Coaching an Exploring Performance.


Workshop 2 - Developing the Athlete with Isaac Thurston

Wednesday 1st July | 7:00pm - 8:30pm | Isaac Thurston & Sion Kitson

£5 per person

This workshop will focus on how coaches can better develop athletes within the futsal environment, supporting players physically to meet the demands of the modern game. The session will explore how coaches can create environments that maximise athletic development, resilience, movement quality, and long-term player potential.

About Isaac Thurston: As well as being part of the England Futsal Performance Pathway support staff, working with both our senior and youth groups, Isaac founded and runs his own Strength & Conditioning company, Headline Conditioning, working with a range of Premier League and EFL players.


Workshop 3 - Developing the Player with John Tapia-Owens

Wednesday 8th July | 7:00pm - 8:30pm | John Tapia-Owens & Sion Kitson

£5 per person

A detailed look into the key technical and tactical areas currently prioritised within the England Futsal Performance Pathway, aligned to modern trends within the game. This session aims to both support and challenge coaches to consider how these important areas of player development can be integrated within their own environments to better support player progression.

About John Tapia-Owens: John is the England Futsal Men's Head Coach, having been in position since 2024, and has led our return to the international arena. He has previously coached Pro Futsal/Bloomsbury, winning the domestic league and cup double and qualifying for the UEFA Futsal Champions League preliminary round in 2023.


Workshop 4 - Preparing for Training with Indoor Data

Wednesday 15th July | 7:00pm - 8:30pm | Indoor Data

£5 per person

Delivered in collaboration with our partner Indoor Data, this final webinar will provide coaches with insight into how effective planning, periodisation, and session delivery can enhance both player and team development. Indoor Data will lead the session, demonstrating their platform and how it can support clubs and coaches with all aspects of training preparation, planning, and delivery throughout the season.
