THE STORY

In March 2026, 18 months after their international debut, the Lionesses returned to action in Birstonas, Lithuania, in the Main Round qualifiers for the 2027 Women’s UEFA Futsal EURO.

Kural’s opener against Bosnia was cancelled out by a late equaliser, before goals from Kerry Walklett, Kural (2) and Sophie Harvey delivered a dominant 4-0 victory against the hosts, Lithuania.

Aged 17 years, 10 months and 7 days old, Harvey became the youngest goalscorer in Lionesses history.

Unfortunately, the third game against Serbia ended in a goalless draw, when victory would have secured Elite Round, as the Lionesses ended up runners-up in Group B.

A few weeks later, it was time for a long-awaited homecoming of the Lionesses, as we hosted Slovakia for two international friendlies as part of International Futsal Week in Loughborough.

Kate McGreavy made history by scoring the first-ever goal on home soil in an exciting 3-2 defeat in the opener.

A day later, Kural continued her exceptional form with a brace, alongside skipper Emma Tune and Lailah Booth’s (2) first England goals as we treated the home crowd to a 5-2 victory.
