Tier 1

Men’s

We are three rounds into the 2026-27 season and three teams have made perfect starts.

Reigning champions Genesis, 2024 champions Manchester and last season’s play-off semi-finalists, Loughborough Students, have all won both of their opening fixtures.

Manchester (1st) and Loughborough (2nd) have conceded just four and three goals respectively, while scoring 14 and 12 at the other end.

At the other end of the table, East Riding (8th) and Liverpool (9th) are yet to pick up wins but the former pushed Genesis (3rd) right to the wire in Round 3, suffering a 6-5 defeat.

Newly-promoted MK Mavericks (5th) picked up their first-ever Tier 1 win over Liverpool in Round 3, after pushing both Bolton (4th) and Genesis hard in their first two games.

After scoring the most goals in the country last season in Tier 2 North (56), East Riding’s Luka Suluburic leads the way in Tier 1 with six goals in two games, including four against Genesis.

MK Mavericks’ Josh Gillespie is in second spot with four in four, including a hat-trick against Genesis in Round 2.

Jake Andrews (Loughborough), Raphe Barber (Manchester), Eduardo Amorim (Genesis), Raducio King (Manchester), Kyle Cutler (MK Mavericks) and Callum Robinson (Genesis) are all tied on three goals apiece.

Maidenhead United’s 5-3 defeat of last season’s Grand Finalists, Bolton, in Round 3 is our pick for the result of the season so far.

Off To A Flyer

MK Mavericks’ Josh Gillespie has scored four in three to start the season, after signing from Bloomsbury in the summer.

Women’s

With only three teams having played twice at this early stage of the season, it is Rise Futsal who lead the way on six points, scoring 13 times and conceding just once.

Southampton Aztecs are second, having won and lost once while scoring 16 goals in two games.

MK Mavericks are the first pick for the result of the season, beating Aztecs 8-7 on the opening weekend before losing to Rise in game two.

Of the teams who have played just once, Helvecia beat Futsal 360 Bristol 8-2 in Round 1 while Bolton suffered a 3-0 defeat to Rise.

Mavericks’ Tricia Gould and Rise’s Kate McGreavy lead the way with four goals in the first two rounds.

All four of Gould’s came in the thrilling opening day win over Aztecs.

Rise captain Hannah Kraakman, teammate Ali Miller and Aztecs’ Amber Treweek all have three in two games.

The Perfect Start

Rise’s Kate McGreavy scored four against Mavericks in her first appearance of the season.

Tier 2 North

Men’s

The Northern division has started like a runaway train.

Three sides have perfect records. 1st placed Sunderland, 2nd placed York, and 3rd placed Athletico City.

Both Sunderland and York are averaging more than 10 goals per game, while all three have conceded just nine times.

Rochdale have made a solid start to life in Tier 2, after winning promotion from the National Futsal League, beating Hull Eagles 6-4 on opening weekend and drawing an 8-8 thriller with Birmingham WLV, before losing heavily to York in the last round of games.

The other newcomers, Sala, are yet to pick-up their first point, having faced two of the league’s stronger sides in York and Birmingham thus far.

Athletico City’s 9-6 victory over city rivals Birmingham in Round 2 is our pick for the result of the season so far, powered by four goals from Thomas Barbano.

It is Sunderland’s Alex Siberry, though, who leads the scoring charts, with a remarkable 12 goals in three games.

York’s Matthew Barber is in hot pursuit, with eight in three himself, while Barbano is third on seven.

Jake Coulby-Ackroyd (York), Joseph Cox (Sunderland), Vytautas Jelinskas (Athletico City) and Pedro Sevilha (Rochdale) are all tied on six.

Back Up North

Sunderland’s Alex Siberry has started the season in sparkling form after returning to the North East from a successful spell with Loughborough in Tier 1.

Women’s

It is still early days in the women’s Northern division, with only three fixtures taking place to date.

Project Futsal are the initial frontrunners, picking up impressive wins against Derby City (7-6) and reigning Tier 2 champions, Bootham.

That 5-2 away win is the standout result of the season so far, as the Merseyside club came back from 2-0 down at half-time to maintain their perfect record.

2025-26 runners-up, Manchester, got their season started with a 2-1 win against Derby City in the last round, while we are yet to see newcomers Godiva Futsal Club, who play their first game after the international break.

Project Futsal’s captain, Jess McHale leads the way with five goals, closely followed by Derby’s Lucy Trail and fellow Project Futsal teammates, Ava Worthy and Amy Shannon who have all found the net on three occasions.

Tier 2 South

Men’s

The men’s Southern division has been closely contested on each of the three weekends of fixtures so far.

It is London International and West London (also known as LDN Movements FC) who hold the top two spots, with two wins and a draw each.

They have both conceded 14 goals across those two games though, showing the quality of opposition.

Braintree (3rd) and Hayes & Yeading Baku United (4th) also have two wins each, but a loss apiece instead.

Every other side from 5th to 9th has three points from three games, while newly-promoted Greenwich have lost both of their opening games but have been in tight contests with Kent and Braintree.

The standout result in the division so far is West London and London International’s 6-6 draw in the previous round of fixtures, as the top two sides went head-to-head and shared 12 goals, with West London coming back from 4-2 down at the break.

Wessex Athletic’s Anthony Batt and West London’s Freddie Fraser-Grante have both scored five in three games, while London International pair, Timothy Ajakaiye and Marco Lavadera have four, along with Futsal 360 Bristol’s Sam Malcolm.

Batt Doing The Business

Wessex Athletic’s Anthony Batt has scored in all three games so far this season, including two braces.

Women’s

With only four fixtures across the opening two weekends, the women’s Southern division is yet to fully take shape, but leaders Bucks have started strong, with 10-2 and 15-3 wins against Wessex Athletic and Bournemouth Grays respectively.

Maidenhead United and Rise Futsal Development have both won their only games so far, while Wessex Athletic and Bournemouth have lost both of their opening two games.

Bucks’ 15-3 win away at Bournemouth in Round 2 is the result of the season so far, with only Sunderland in Men’s Tier 2 scoring more (16) in a single game.

Erin Radbourne scored eight of those goals, and leads the way with 11, as Bucks dominate the leaderboard early on.

Rianne Townsend-Brown has five while Lucy Eustace and Evie Sharpe have three each.

Straight Into The Groove

Bucks have scored 25 goals in their first two NFS games. Rianne Townsend-Brown has five of those.
