Four Debutants as Lions Squad Announced for Germany Clash in Stuttgart
Lions Head Coach, John Tapia-Owens, has named his squad to take on Germany in Stuttgart on Friday, handing senior international debuts to four new Lions in the process.
Charlie Kuehn (Genesis Futsal Club), Eddie Amorim (Genesis Futsal Club), Jed Devine (York Futsal Club) and Tyler Cook (Bolton Futsal Club) are all set to receive their first senior international caps in Germany this Friday.
Devine and Cook have both represented England Futsal at U19 level previously, having come through our Talent Pathway. In April 2025, Cook captained the U19s in Hungary as they faced Spain, Hungary and Finland in the U19 UEFA Futsal Euro qualifiers.
Kuehn and Amorim are part of their first ever England Futsal squads. Kuehn, now of Genesis in National Futsal Series Tier 1, has also represented his country as part of the England 6-aside team, while Amorim joins the national team after standing out for both Bloomsbury and Genesis in NFS Tier 1, as well as the UEFA Futsal Champions League in 2023 with Bloomsbury.
We can also confirm that Liam Palfreeman suffered an unfortunate late injury playing for his club side in the lead up to this fixture and will be supporting the Lions from home as he aims to recover ahead of selection for April’s home qualifiers.
