We have spent the last couple of seasons building a strong and engaged, nationwide network of futsal and football coaches aiming to develop their knowledge and skill base, at all levels of the sport. Now, with the backdrop of the Lionesses taking on Slovakia in the afternoon, England Futsal are hosting our inaugural coaching conference.
What's Involved?
Four and a half hours of futsal and football expertise from some of the most influential voices across the small and large sided games. On-court practical sessions, mixed in with off-court classroom workshops, a rare opportunity to network with the best coaches in the country (and Europe...) and a fully-catered Lunch provided as well as refreshments throughout the day. Read below for a full list of our Conference Headline Speakers:
- Professor Leanne Norman (Professor in Women in Sport, Loughborough University)
- Sion Kitson (England Futsal Head of Development & Technical, Women’s National Team Head Coach)
- Dr Chris Yiannaki (Lecturer University of Lancashire) & Marc Forrest (Specialist Coach, Arsenal Football Club & FA Coach Developer)
- David McGurk (Former Professional Football Player & Director of Tactx) & Michael Morton (Former Manchester City and Leeds United Academy Coach & Director of Tactx)
Plus many more special guests and presenters, including…
- Juan Tapia Owens (England Futsal, Men’s Head Coach)
- Mico Martic (Switzerland National Team, Men’s Head Coach)
- James Barlow (Head of Academy, Portsmouth Football Club)
We cannot wait to welcome you to what we hope to be the first of many England Futsal Coaching Conferences.
